Stepping into The Café at the Frick feels like settling into a quiet corner of a green, welcoming neighborhood where time slows just enough to savor the moment. Nestled within the peaceful surroundings near the Frick estate, this café blends comfort with a refined, unpretentious charm—an inviting place where soft conversations and the clinking of teacups weave through the air.
The atmosphere here is unhurried yet purposeful, as if every detail from the gentle hum of afternoon light to the attentive, warm presence of the staff encourages a relaxed pause. It’s a spot where locals and visitors alike gather not only for well-crafted fare but for the thoughtful ambiance that makes sharing food or tea feel like a small celebration of connection.
The menu mirrors this approach, offering a variety of dishes that feel simultaneously familiar and special. Imagine sharing a flatbread with fresh mozzarella and spinach, or dipping into a delicate crab cake salad kissed by subtle citrus notes. There’s an effortless harmony between classic comfort and seasonal touches, accompanied by a tea service designed to slow the pace and stretch conversation. Sweet finishes like a blueberry crumble cheesecake or creme brûlée add a gentle sweetness to the experience, each bite attentive to both freshness and presentation.

Here, subtle communal energy coexists with quiet moments, even as the occasional lively chatter reminds you that this is a place made for shared experiences. Whether it’s a casual brunch, a midday tea, or a quiet evening retreat, The Café at the Frick offers a grounded, quietly joyful space to savor good food alongside good company.

Went for a friend's birthday party and had the best brunch ever. The flatbreads and teas were phenomenal. The staff were so kind and helped us with her surprise cake, 12/10 experience!

We sat outside. It was lovely. The only drawback of the evening was the table beside us were talking loud and I couldn't hear the person sitting across the table from me. I didn't let this reflect in my feedback. Perhaps the table just as you enter from the restaurant onto the patio could be moved further away from the one to the right of it. Just a suggestion. Thank you for the nice evening.

Someone from Pittsburg recommended us this place while we were visiting for a few hours and it did not disappoint. The neighborhood is quite amazing, calm, green and you might wanna look up the Frick family while you're there.

This small bistro style cafe has a great selection of sandwiches and other items. We got the tea service and shared it. The food was great, fresh and well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
